Sahar Bakhsh, MD

Sahar Bakhsh, MD, MPH, is a Family Medicine Physician at Fisher-Titus Norwalk Primary Care.

A physician with a unique blend of clinical expertise and public health experience spanning over 15 years across two continents, Dr. Bakhsh is dedicated to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Her background in epidemiology and community outreach drives her commitment to preventive medicine, health equity, and serving underserved populations.

Dr. Bakhsh earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The George Washington University’s Milken School of Public Health in 2019, and her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Fatima Jinnah Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan in 2009. Prior to residency, she served as an Epidemiologist with the Florida Department of Health, where she led disease surveillance, STD/HIV intervention, and COVID-19 contact tracing efforts. She has also directed rural and urban health outreach programs across Florida and Illinois, organizing health fairs, coordinating physician volunteers, and advocating for underserved communities. Dr. Bakhsh has published peer-reviewed research on topics including Vitamin D and type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and depression, and polio eradication strategies, and has presented her research at regional and national conferences.

In her free time, Dr. Bakhsh enjoys active participation in church activities and community engagement, exploring her passion for culinary arts, travel, and expressing herself through art such as glass bottle painting, mirror decor, and other crafts.
