Fisher-Titus Weight Loss Center

The Fisher-Titus Weight Loss Center will help you lose weight and live a healthier life.

We understand that the battle to reach and maintain a healthy weight is highly personal and is influenced by many things. It can be affected by stress, sleep quality, medical conditions and various other factors. That’s why we believe that a multidisciplinary approach is needed to achieve the best results.

As a participant in a Fisher-Titus Weight Loss program, you will be guided by a supportive team of medical specialists that include a physician, dietitians, physical therapy specialists, and behavioral health practitioners.

Our programs are for individuals with a BMI of 25 or greater, adults age 18 and older, and are needing to lose moderate to significant amounts of weight. Women who are pregnant or nursing, or individuals undergoing dialysis or chemotherapy cannot participate unless specifically approved to do so by our medical staff.

We offer two weight loss programs to suit your needs:

12-Week Program

  • Visits with a Physician (number of visits vary, depending on the participant)
  • 3 Resting Metabolic Rate Measurements
  • 1 15-minute Q &A with a dietitian
  • 2 30-minute visits with a dietitian
  • 6 Health and Wellness Classes every other week
  • Educational Material

What to Expect

When you choose to enroll in our weight loss program, first you will be scheduled for an initial assessment with our physician. During the assessment we will review your medical health history and perform some basic tests and screenings, including body composition, resting metabolic rate, comprehensive blood work, EKG and more. This gives us a clear picture of your overall health and helps determine our personalized recommendations for you.

After your initial assessment, all patients attend a private session with one of our Dietitians to further outline the program, set expectations and answer any questions you might have. Before your visit with a Dietitian, please complete a Daily Food Log for 3-5 days.  This will help us help you make healthy changes.

How we Monitor Your Health and Weight Loss

A metabolic measurement will determine how many calories your body needs to meet your goals. With your metabolic measurement, you will have a personalized nutrition and physical activity plan that guides you in losing or maintaining weight.

Behavior management can help manage why you are overweight or obese by understanding the behaviors that surround and cause it.

Dietitians

Your individualized plan will be supervised by Registered Dietitians who will help you develop a successful, sustainable healthy eating plan.

Physical & Occupational Therapists

The physical & occupational therapists at Fisher-Titus Medical Center will find the right exercises for you, helping you lose weight and boost your metabolism in a safe and effective manner.

Affordable Weight Loss

We strive to make weight loss affordable. The Fisher-Titus Weight Loss Center offers a combined insurance/self-pay model for Weight Loss Program. We bill your insurance for covered benefits whenever possible in order to lessen out-of-pocket costs and reduce self-pay patient responsibilities. For patients without insurance, we have negotiated self-pay rates available. To help you understand our pricing model, here are some examples of potential covered and non-covered benefits.

For insured patients, covered benefits could include:

  • Office visits with copay
  • Lab work
  • Prescription medications

Self-pay or out-of-pocket expenses (for insured and non-insured patients) include:

  • Meal replacement products
  • Body composition testing
  • Program fees
Metabolism Matters

Your metabolism is the total number of calories burned each day. Metabolism is composed of normal bodily functions and daily physical activity. Since metabolism is an essential component to weight management, it is important for your wellness professional to assess your metabolism to establish your daily calorie goals
