Beginning Thursday, July 9 at 6 p.m., Fisher-Titus will be restricting all visitors.
“In order to protect our patients and staff, we will be reinstating the no visitor policy at all Fisher-Titus facilities including Fisher-Titus Medical Center and office locations,” said Dr. Brent Burkey, president & CEO of Fisher-Titus. “With the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Huron County, we want to ensure we are taking every precaution possible to keep our community safe.”
Exceptions to the visitor restrictions will be made for the following patients:
- Pediatric patients will be allowed 1 visitor per day
- Labor & Delivery are allowed 1 visitor per day
- End of life circumstances
Huron County is currently at a Level 3 Red Alert designation from the State of Ohio due to a recent increase in positive COVID-19 cases. A Level 3 designation means very high exposure and spread of COVID-19. Residents should limit activities as much as possible and masks are required in public spaces.
Visitor restrictions remain in place in our senior services areas including the Carriage House, Norwalk Memorial Home, and Fisher-Titus Transitional Care Unit.
