Fisher-Titus to Begin Resuming Operations

In close alignment with standards set forth by Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Health (ODH), Fisher-Titus will be restarting selected scheduled services that were previously closed or postponed.

“We appreciate the patience and understanding by the community and our patients as we took the measures needed to shift our priority to address the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Dr. Brent Burkey, president and CEO of Fisher-Titus. “As state and government guidance now allows, we are able to begin welcoming more patients back to our facilities to receive care for those elective procedures that had been postponed as well as additional non-emergent care.”

In preparation for return to services, Fisher-Titus has reviewed the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure ample supply, updated waiting room layouts to allow for physical distancing, and has performed continuous deep-cleaning and sanitization of the facilities.

“The safety of our patients and our employees is our number one priority,” Dr. Burkey said. “We want the community to know that it is safe to be in the medical center and physician office locations. We have taken every precaution possible to ensure that we are protecting everyone’s health.”

Patients who were impacted by the postponement of procedures will be called to reschedule appointments. Patients who have appointments are being asked to wear a mask; however, if they do not have one, a mask will be provided for them upon arrival. In addition, each patient will be screened for temperature and COVID-19 symptoms before services are provided. Fisher-Titus is asking that individuals continue proper hand hygiene and physical distancing while in the facilities.

Services opening back up include:

  • Sleep Lab
  • Outpatient lab for routine orders
  • Diabetes education and Medical Nutrition Therapy
  • Scheduled screening mammograms and DEXA procedures
  • Outpatient therapy
  • Cardiac Rehab Phase II
  • Cardiovascular outpatient scheduled testing including echocardiograms and stress tests
  • Pulmonary function testing
  • Wellness visits for pediatrics and senior adults
  • Elective surgeries

Visitor restrictions are still active at the medical center and ambulatory locations.

For those seeking additional access to Fisher-Titus services, virtual visits are available. Patients can complete a phone or video appointment with their regular health care provider without having to physically be in the office. These virtual visits allow patients to securely connect with their Fisher-Titus provider through their computer, tablet, or smart phone. During a virtual visit, the care team can confirm certain medical conditions, determine treatment plans, and submit prescriptions to the pharmacy – all without patients leaving the comfort of their home.

To schedule a virtual visit with a Fisher-Titus Medical Care provider, patients can call the office of the provider and request a video visit when speaking to the scheduler. In addition, on demand visits are available. Simply log on to fishertitus.amwell.com and use the service key FISHERTITUS to be connected with a Fisher-Titus provider.
