Fisher-Titus Family Medicine-New London Breaks Ground on New Medical Office Facility

Groundbreaking for the new medical office facility that will replace Fisher-Titus Family Medicine at 187 West Main Street in New London took place Tuesday morning, September 17.

9-17-19 NL Groundbreaking DM 1“We are pleased that this new 3,500 square feet facility will continue to support the work of our New London Family Medicine,” said Dr. Brent Burkey, president & CEO of Fisher-Titus. “More than just a building, this project continues our commitment to providing high quality health care in New London. This year Jeff Harwood is celebrating his 30th anniversary of serving New London area families. In 2017, New London native and resident Hayley Robuck joined the practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

The new building will feature two medical office suites with each suite having a private entrance with reception areas. The medical building will have a total of eight patient exam rooms, two nurse stations and work areas, and office space for physicians and other providers. Fisher-Titus Family Medicine will occupy one suite, with the second reserved for future health-related services for the community, such as additional providers or specialty clinics.

Janotta & Herner of Monroeville will serve as general contractor for the facility which is scheduled to be completed by the end of February 2020.

J&H President & CEO Mark Chase, who is also a New London resident, said “I appreciate this opportunity to continue our business relationship with Fisher-Titus. Over the years, we have worked together on 115 projects. On a personal note, I am grateful that Fisher-Titus is committed to the New London community.”

John Martin, mayor of New London, expressed his appreciation for Fisher-Titus expanding its presence in the New London.

The current Fisher-Titus Family Medicine office will remain open during the construction, which requires partial demolition of the building to provide room for parking. When the new facility is ready for move-in, the old office area will be razed, making room for additional parking.

“Hayley and I, and our entire care team are pleased to be continuing our long history of providing medical services in New London,” said Dr. Jeffrey Harwood. “Our entire staff is excited to be able to serve our patients with this modern, family-friendly facility. We look forward to continuing our tradition of providing care to the generations of families we have known for decades, as well as being involved in and supporting community activities.”

Dr. Harwood and Certified Nurse Practitioner Haley Robuck provide a complete range of medical care for patients of all ages, and offer convenient daytime hours and expanded evening hours.

Dr. Harwood has been serving New London patients since 1989 when he opened New London Family Practice, and affiliated with Fisher-Titus Medical Center. In 2015 the practice became part of Fisher-Titus Medical Care, a multispecialty group of health-care providers employed by Fisher-Titus. New London native Hayley Robuck joined the practice as a nurse practitioner in 2017.
