Fisher-Titus Medical Center is offering the Willard community a new service. Fisher-Titus Convenient Care opened Monday, May 2, at the Willard Health Center at 315 Crestwood Drive.
“This will be the second location for convenient care services. The first opened in Norwalk in 2015 and has been extremely successful. It fills a need for those patients needing medical care for non-emergency illnesses, providing a more affordable option than urgent care or the emergency room,” said Lorna Strayer, president of Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
Hours Weekdays 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Sunday Closed. Call 419-935-2280 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed.
Fisher-Titus Convenient Care locations are staffed by a medical team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
“At Fisher-Titus, we understand that illness and injuries don’t always happen when you can make an appointment with your regular physician. That’s why we’ve created Fisher-Titus Convenient Care in Willard, a facility which will be open at convenient times with no appointment necessary,” said Beth Dille, Executive Director of Fisher-Titus Medical Care.
Fisher-Titus Convenient Care treats a variety of acute non-emergency illnesses and minor injuries, including:
Cold and flu
Sore throats and strep throat
“Fisher-Titus Convenient Care is about more than just convenience – it also offers affordability and seamless care,” Dille said.
The Willard Convenient Care accepts most insurance plans and gives patients an option to avoid a trip to the ER for the types of acute medical issues a primary care physician would typically treat. The team will follow up with the regular primary care provider so he/she is aware of the visit. And, in most cases, the insurance co-pay will be the same as a primary care office visit. A Fisher-Titus Convenient Care staff member can also assist in finding a primary care physician if needed.
