The challenges of COVID-19 have provided us with so many lessons. One of those lessons has been how interconnected we all are. Another lesson has been that the people of this community are incredibly generous, and that together we can meet any challenge. Finally, I think we all have been reminded of how good it is just to be together.
In that spirit, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 31st Annual Fisher-Titus Foundation Golf Outing rescheduled to August 5. This year will be extra special as we come together to celebrate community and raise much needed funds for the Fisher-Titus Foundation’s Crisis Response Fund that supports our COVID-19 response. In rising to meet the community’s medical needs during the pandemic, we have incurred extraordinary expenses and revenue losses. Given the population we serve and those most vulnerable to COVID-19 complications, we also anticipate increased charity care, unreimbursed care, and patient account write-offs. Your participation, through golfing or sponsorship, will help us fund the supplies, equipment, facility improvements, training and assistance we need to provide for the protection of our staff, patients and community through this crisis.
If you wish to participate as a golfer or tournament sponsor, please register below. Several sponsorship opportunities are available and are on a first-come first-served basis.
The novel coronavirus has changed much of how we work, play, and interact. We believe that it is possible to both protect each other from COVID-19 and to continue with facets of life and business that are low to moderate risk.
Golfing is considered a moderate risk activity that can be enjoyed safely with proper precautions. In order to protect golf tournament attendees, Fisher-Titus has adopted the Responsible Restart Ohio Guidelines for the tournament and will follow Governor DeWine’s orders for the event. Additionally, event organizers have been in consultation with Huron County Public Health for guidance.
Safety measures in place for the tournament include:
