Nimitt J. Patel, M.D., a graduate of the St. Georges School of Medicine, completed his general surgery residency and internship at the Seton Hall University School of Medicine and fellowships of critical care surgery and acute care surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Patel specializes in trauma and burn care. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgical critical care and surgery which allows him to manage severely ill surgical and trauma patients in the intensive care units.
Dr. Patel is a member of the American College of Surgeons (National organization and Ohio chapter), Eastern Association for Surgery of Trauma, Society of Critical Care Medicine, and Surgical Infection Society.</p><p>In addition to his services at Fisher-Titus, Dr. Patel is a practicing trauma surgeon with MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and is an assistant professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He joined MetroHealth in 2012.
